Happy New Year!
Yup….I know this is a somewhat belated greeting, but it is just still January!
I hope your year has got off to a great start.
I’ve started the year full of hope and excitement at all God has for me. (Which is a wonderful feeling, as my last two years haven’t started like that!)
So what are some of the things I’m excited about?
#1 We’re moving back to England this summer. Wahey!
It’s been an amazing season and experience living the last 7 years in Istanbul, Turkey. But the season is changing, the time is right, and we are heading back ‘home’. I love a new adventure, and am so excited at all God has for us: new home, schools, friends and fellowship!
#2 All I have planned for Mums.Kids.Jesus this year.
I get so excited, I can’t sleep. (Or, as my younger brother used to say, ‘It feels like my heart is going to pop out!’)
Yep…I believe God has given me some great writing and business ideas. Let me share some of them with you:
The Cultivate Love Challenge: 50+ Ideas and Resources to Help Your Family Grow in Love
This is a resource I’ve just finished writing. Yay! I actually completed something!
The Cultivate Love Challenge contains a year’s worth of ideas, AND the planners and printables you need to put them into action, to strengthen your marriage, deepen relationship between you and your children, and help your children grow in friendship.
I wrote The Cultivate Love Challenge because it’s something I want to do with my own family this year. Each month I’ll share what ideas I’m using and how it’s going. I’ll open it up for you to share too, and for us to encourage each other.
Let’s do this together. Join me in The Cultivate Love Challenge!
Mums.Kids.Jesus is now on Pinterest!
Yes, you can follow Mums.Kids.Jesus on Pinterest.
I am slowly discovering how it works, and creating new boards! More to come.
I’m not only pinning my own writing, but also loads of other helpful resources for mums. (I read everything single thing I pin, and only pin what I personally recommend, so you can be sure that it’s good.)
I’m writing some posts with my daughter!
My 11-year-old daughter, Miriam, has a gift for everything arty and crafty.
You may have seen my recent post How to Make a Pom Pom In 5 Minutes (and make a really cute pom pom mouse). This was Miriam’s idea. She created, while I took the photos.
I hope to do more posts with Miriam. It’s fun!
My book: Forever Loved.
This is the story of Father and daughter, as told by Eve. It tells of the love relationship Eve had with her Papa, her Father God, and the one we can have too, as daughters of God.
I really want to finish and publish this book, this year!
I’ll be selling on Amazon, but giving away some free copies too. Subscribe to new posts and updates to keep in the loop.
I’ve republished Mums with Jesus, the very first thing I wrote for mums.
It’s now called 30 Practical Ideas to Intimacy with Jesus…When You’re a Mum.
It can be tough staying close to God when you’re a mum. I know! But God MUST intend for us to still be able to be intimate with him. (That’s why I wrote this.)
It’s exciting to see this post blessing mums again, 12 years on. And I’m putting some of the ideas into practice again myself, too.
I just discovered a new site called Kit:
Kit.com is ‘a community to discover, discuss and get interesting products’
I have created my first kit: For Your Child Genius, and hope to make more kits soon.
If you have a product to sell, or are an Amazon associate, then it’s a place to potentially make some money, too.
And talking of money…
I’m developing Mums.Kids.Jesus as a business, not just a site.
Of course, I want Mums.Kids.Jesus to be a blessing to many!
But it is super-nice to actually earn some money from all my hours, months and years of writing! I’m just beginning, and I got so excited when I got my first £, and then my first $!
I don’t like invasive ads, so I won’t be using any. But I do earn commissions from products I personally use and recommend (like the *Make Over Your Morning course). And I’ll be selling my own books and resources too (one day).
So, it’s exciting to see where that will lead!
I look forward to connecting with you more!
I love it when you comment, visit the Mums.Kids.Jesus Facebook page, send me an email (mumskidsjesus at gmail.com), follow me on Pinterest, share my posts, and subscribe to new posts from Mums.Kids.Jesus.
It REALLY does encourage me. (And I spend way too much time checking my stats – how many new sign-ups…how many likes and shares!)
So do feel free to connect in anyway. I welcome your questions, feedback, comments, or suggestions. Or just send me an email to say ‘Hi’!
Well, that’s it. Lots to look forward to!
What are you excited for this year? What things has God put in your heart to do, or to be?
