What God’s been Speaking to Me
God has spoken to me so powerfully through these verses this week:
These verses encompass what my heart longs for. I’m making them a daily prayer for myself, my family, and my church. Why don’t you join me in praying and believing them for your children and family?

Love Language Quiz for Kids
We gave our kids Love Language quizzes this week. Some of the results surprised us! And gave us insight into how we can show each child love in ways that are more meaningful to them.
Visit the Love Languages site and choose the appropriate quiz or game for your child’s age to discover their love language/s. (The idea being that each of us receives and gives love in different ways, whether that be physical touch, quality time, acts of service, gifts, or words of affirmation.)
There are also lots of ideas (using the Love Languages) on how to express love to your kids here: The Cultivate Love Challenge: 50+ Ideas and Resources to Help Your Family Grow in Love
The Good Girl’s Guide to Great Sex
(And you thought Bad Girls have all the fun), by Sheila Gregoire of To Love, Honor and Vacuum
This is what I’m reading right now!
I’m about 3/4 of the way through, and it is the best book I’ve ever read on sex.
The chapter I read last night, ‘Hot and Holy’ is just wow!
Sheila has an incredible way of portraying both the purity and the passion of sex, and that sex is not just physical, but also spiritual and emotional. The three combined make for incredible connection with your husband (and is sex as God intended)!
The book covers anything you could ever wish to ask about sex, and is full of God. I highly recommend it (however long you’ve been married).
View ‘The Good Girl’s Guide to Great Sex’ here.
If you’d like to regularly follow along with what I’m reading, you’ll find me on Goodreads here.
Want to Know if a Film, Book or Game is Suitable for Your Child?
My daughter wanted to go to the cinema yesterday with a friend. She was a little sheepish telling me the name of the film. I told her I’d have to check it out.
Praise God for Plugged In, a Christian review site by Focus on the Family. Turns out the film is a 15, and full of inappropriate content. (My daughter’s 14, so it was an easy ‘No’. She and her friend ended up going to Nandos instead and had a great time.)
Plugged In offers reviews of movies, TV shows, books, and games, and provides detailed information on several types of content: spiritual, sexual, language, violence, and other positive and negative elements.
Another great review site worth checking out is Common Sense Media (not specifically Christian).
